Happy Holidays - Goodbye 2012 and #Joomla1.5!

2012 was a big year for Joomla and Dioscouri.

First the Joomla 2.5 release, then we saw the end-of-life for Joomla 1.5.

As part of the process Diosocuri developers have been hard at work completely re-working most of the Discouri extensions - making them compatible with J1.5, J2.5, and J3.0 - all at the same time.

But there's an end to everything, and we fondly say goodbye to Joomla 1.5. It has provided all of us with a LOT of service, but it's officially time to move on.

As of January 1, 2013 Dioscouri will no longer be developing code for J1.5 versions of our extensions - including any patches or bug fixes. We are going to focus our efforts specifically on J2.5 and J3.0 code development.

We will contiue to provide help/assistance with configuration and usage issues related to J1.5 for a short while.

If you have an active support subscription when the new J2.5 versions of an extension come out you'll be able to download those.

Please note that we don't provide specific dates on when we will be releasing an extension; however, our general process is to relase each extension using the following process:

• Alpha - just for testing, NOT for live sites (sometimes these are available without an extension, sometimes they aren't, just depends on the extension)
• Beta - designed for final testing. The features are pretty much set but still not completely ready for live site use
• Production Beta - this means the code is stable but we're still adding some functionality to the extension, and development is still moving along at a rather quick pace (i.e. frequent updates)
• Stable - this has been tested and ready for use on live sites

Watch for notices on our web site, via twitter, and email so that you know when new versions are released.

2013 looks to be an exciting year!

#MySite - Sitemap for #Joomla from @Dioscouri v0.8.0 now available!

 Wrapping up our week of releases is MySite - the sitemap generator for Joomla (1.5-2.5). We've just released 0.8.0 which brings some behind the scenes code clean-up and brings it closer to a stable release (although many are using this in live web sites without a problem).
